Fatherhood

(Dedication: For my son Michael,
and my grandson Axel Caleb.)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Two fathers, and two sons:
Glimpses of play and fun,
Journeys in the warm sun,
Emergent light now puns.
Joy wears a sanguine face:
Purpose and passion pace,
Words and works in clear trace,
Feelings thrill time and space.
So many moments string:
Fond sparkle now casts flings,
Zesty sway of warm swing,
A hundred happy things.
So many ways to feel:
The pulse of life that spills,
The rise and fall of thrills,
Endless poise of goodwill.
Two sons and two fathers:
Love is all that matters,
Peace of mind now gathers,
Heart and soul to shelter.
Life pursuits call most plain:
Treasure ties beyond gain,
Timeless feel in refrain,
Curious wonder attains.
So many ways to be:
Vibrant vivid sights see,
Heed love's clear melody,
Live joy's grand harmony.
