Father God

Just when I thought to be alone
When despair would come my way
I raise my prayers to you
Who knows me well?
That you would answer

To pray with so much conviction
To know and believe that you would
Always answer to you I owe my loyalty
My love and respect
When asked for peace be still
You would be store it

And all Calm would come my way
With a heavy heart I would pray
And tears would fill my eyes
For all the times I have cried
And fallen to my needs

You have given me the gift of faith
In prayer and a reason to believe
I was never alone for this father god
I thank you each and every day
