Father As a Good Companion
Father was always a good companion to us,
Dressed us in beautiful fashions.
He would drive us to the library,
Drove me to the go train each day so I could teach.
Made sure we were well fed,
Purchased groceries at the local store.
Accompany me to piano classes,
As a senior I went onto to play for the birthdays.
Father would sit beside me when I played the piano for the seniors,
Then he would applaud after, a lovely memory.
I remember sitting in the back of the Volkswagen,
When we traveled what fun that was.
I recall the summer father and mother rented an island,
Father went to get food so we were well fed.
Memories of father who will always be with us
As a companion and friend.
