Father and Son

We look at each other
With nothing to say
Years have gone by
All thoughts gone astray

The doubt and distrust
Are all that we share
Not knowing each other
I wonder, why care?

 Care deeper than that
And see what can be
Perhaps you’ll find love
For each equally

Love for each other
As was meant to be
Father and son
For eternity

It is so hot here in Ohio the last few days and they say stay in if you can. Well I can and so I thought this would be a wonderful day to thank everyone for their kind comments on my poetry. So I say thank you to you for the kind words and for sharing your amazing poetry with us Tina. Love, Carol
