Fate's Footfalls

Numbing echoes of vain haunting footfalls
Mute lingerings of ghosts and lovers past
A troubled hindsight of sleepless darkness
Buried forgotten times of long ago

Appeared the footsteps of fate, I followed
A path oozing myrrh and serenity
Leading me straight into your warm embrace
My world is now a blissful paradise

These words were chosen carefully, thoughtfully, and the metric rhythm is amazing. Good luck in the contest, Line.
