snake

Listen to poem:
The serpent rears up with fangs bared, upfront and center. The scorpion's sting is poised to strike with a coiled, curled, cowering, concealed, backender sting in its tail. A life flips on a coin toss: heads for a destiny, tails for a lingering uncertainty, when fate strikes upfront, or with a backender.
