Fata Morgana

A deep and cloudless sky
Scourching vast coloured desert dunes
Behind some Bedouin tents

A fata morgana at the horizon
An unreal world faces the traveller
--------------------------------------------------

Ein tiefer Himmel
Verbrennt endlose bunte Dünen
Hinter einigen Beduinenzelten

Eine Fata Morgana am Horizot
Unwirkliche Welt für den Reisenden

Your poem enhances my desire to visit the desert, Gert. Also, brings back memories of the film "Lawrence of Arabia." Very much enjoyed taking this journey through your great tanka. Love, Carolyn

That sounds like a unsafe place to be on that desert but those Bedouin know how to handle the travel there...Keep the creative pen flowing..Sara
