Fast and Free
My life has changed.
This all feels so strange.
I don't know how much longer it will remain.
How can I break these chains.
I just want to fly away, fast and free.
I got what I thought I wanted.
Caught up in life.
Caught with strife.
I can see myself missing you.
It's something I denied so long.
I burn to hold you,
To feel your breath on my skin.
You'll never know how bad it feels,
To know I'll never win.
I watch you from a distance.
From the corner of my eye.
I can't let them know why.
I have to hide my thoughts and visions,
For surely, they would think me strange.
I want to lose myself in you,
To become the one I truly am.
To open up,
Like a bird from it's nest.
I just want to fly away, fast and free.
