Farewell Unspoken
Looking back at days gone by
I think of you in past memories.
To see you one more time
would set my heart at ease.
The very thought of you
has nearly made me cry.
For I never got to say
the saddest word 'goodbye'.
Here I am thinking of you
and wondering where you are.
You probably have a happy life
and thanking your lucky star.
So with these final words
I hope the best for you.
For in this loving heart
I still would not say 'adieu'.
