Farewell the Poet
I was about 5 when I first felt for another, hungry I was
As all my life I have come to seek for affection, and attention
Alone I found most of my youth, I was a coward to face life
I dreamed about my future then, and I dream about it now
Will tomorrow jump at my presence or will it frown, and feel so down
I walk a path forgotten, where many bones lay of the fallen
I feel my heart spacing into its own feel, and I grow in fear for I not understand
Power of love I ask, power of need, or just a habit that sees the bones free
I smile, a fake grin it is for I fear
And I need a pair of arms to hold me tight and tell me all will be well
I walk along side the falling edge, where hopes hang on to their mind from thoughts
A weak mind speaks, and a fierce body wonders off into what it believes true
At times I find myself asking why?
Is it fair to tease the heart, for the soul stands next to it firm and bold
I whisper from the deepest part of my heart in testament of lament
For my heart is weaking so is my will to live
And I see my tomorrow fading and leaving my side
I pause to check my feeling and I weak to seek
I crwal into my own despair
I drown in my own tears, and shake in my self painted fears
I see not a man but a child whom loves
Seek me for I loose, and I sleep to my dreams
