Farewell Nan

We write this poem for our missing Nan, She vanished, we don’t know where you are. The computer swallowed our precious Nan, To us she was always our loving star. She pressed the wrong keys And disappeared from view. It devoured her completely, Only left her right footed shoe, Experts searched the computer, Couldn’t find any clue. We searched every programme, Files of every kind. We asked Google to look, Nothing could it find. We wondered what could do this? Could it be a vicious unknown virus, They are a menace all the time, They are quick, evil, silent, create no fuss. We have alerted everyone of our loss, We have searched the recycle bin, We have tried every means poss, How does one guard against such a sin? We appeal to you all, please join in our task, If you find her, just cut and paste, Only one thing from you all we ask, When you have found her, please send her back with all haste. Thank you for your support, which we are sure will not be a waste. It is great that our elders should learn to play the computer game, Once they conquer it, life will never be the same. They can talk to the world, make new friends too, And develop hidden talents of which they never knew. A computer will enable the elderly to feel independent, No longer feeling alone and redundant.
