Farewell

the wind refused to blow the gentle cool breeze
the birds stopped singing their blissful song
the very nature around them refusing to acknowledge their presence
as reality was escaping without hesitation as the scene began to unfold

determination to express the longing of love, hope, and fear was eminent
the moment their lips locked an explosion of need had overtaken
hands gripped hands for support and strength to continue on
lips never unlocking as tongues began to dance the dance of desire
breathes never escaping in fear of it being a dream, of fear of parting ways
hoping for this moment to last forever, knowing that it would not

as the moment began to cease reality appeared before them
the wind began to blow that gentle breeze upon bruised lips
the birds began to sing the saddest song
as they said their final farewells...
