Farewell

It’s time to walk away
And out into the world
Out we go through these
Iron gates of memories.
New challenges await us
Now we must let go
Of our fears to give
Wings to our dreams.
Promises to come back
Will they be hollow?
Only time can tell, but
For now let hope reign.
This time is sorrowful
Laughter and tears fill
All our minds, tomorrow
Is what keeps us afloat.
As I depart, to my friends
I say, “We’ll meet again.”
The future is uncertain
But please, let it be true.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
