Farewell 2015

I give thanks that this difficult year has come to an end
My father is now at peace with his lord
Our lives have been turned upside down
Nothing will ever be the same again
I am on the threshold of a brand new year
And look forward to brighter days ahead

Thanks Sara 2015 was very difficult with my father dying and mum moving in to care home. I am hoping 2016 will be less traumatic but I find starting to write in 2013 has been the thing that has helped me through the most traumatic period of my life:-) hugs Jan xx

Welling up here, Jan. Sometimes it takes just a simple little poem to touch that sensitive chord... Glad to see it end on a positive note. Be happy, my friend. You of all people deserve it. PS. It's almost midnight there, right? Again, enjoy the festivities... it's morning of January 1st here and except for a few firecrackers here and there, everything's quiet now. I don't enjoy New Year Kim and haven't celebrated it for many years - i can't wait to see the end of 2015 which has been the worst of my life and hope 2016 brings us both peaceful and happier times Kim:-) Still 37 minutes to go to new year here lol:-) Am just sitting with my cup of tea lol:-) hugs Jan xx

I hope you have the best year ever Jan. I hope you are also able to reflect on the good things of the past year. Part of that was the time you did have to spend with your dad. Hugs Rick.

Life has been very difficult as a result of dad's death and sadly I am now estranged from my sister so in reality I have lost 2 people in my life last year. I hope 2016 is wonderful for you and your lovely wife and Mama bear:-) hugs Jan xx
