"Farewell" reflects the inevitability of death and the hope it offers for release from suffering. The poem explores mortality's complex emotions, from fear and apprehension to a sense of liberation and acceptance.

I hope this poem provides a moment of contemplation on life's fragility and the possibility of finding peace beyond the limitations of our earthly existence.

Listen to poem:
I step through the door of death tonight, Where shadows blend with fading light. A world unseen, beyond the veil, Where whispers of the lost prevail. In this moment, I find release, From endless wars, a fragile peace. No more battles with my mind, In death’s embrace, solace I find. The world I leave, so far behind, A canvas blank, undefined. No echoes of a tortured past, In this silence, free at last. The door swings wide, an open maw, Swallowing fears, every flaw. No more masks, no need to pretend, In this realm, where sorrows end. I walk into the nothingness, Embracing dark, a final kiss. No more pain, no tears to weep, In death's cold arms, I fall asleep. Farewell to those who never knew, The depth of darkness I fell through. I step through death’s eternal door, And find the peace I’ve hungered for.
