Far Away

I'll not be back this way again,
But ,oh, it's been a lovely ride.
Some will say,"I remember when -
But that was long before he died."

There was laughter and there were tears,
And I rode me many a horse.
As I look back through all the years,
Love seems to be the moving force.

I loved and lost and loved again
In about equal parts I'd say.
But I recall that time back then -
No doubt I love you still today.

I'll not be back this way again -
The place I go is far away.
Still I'll remember way back when,
And wait for you to come someday.

Congratulations Larry on the placement of the contest. Some goodbyes are painful even years later.
