Fans of Autumn

Days are much shorter when autumn appears
The warm sun drifting lower in the sky,
Children are happy as Christmas time nears
Thanksgiving brings visions of pumpkin pie.
Let’s not forget October’s Halloween nigh
Happiness reigns even through the cold months
Especially the football season’s punts,
Wrapped up in warm blankets for the home game
Or in camouflage in the woods for hunts,
Each year fans of the season feel the same.

You have included two of my favorite things about Autumn in these two lines "Thanksgiving brings visions of pumpkin pie. Let’s not forget October’s Halloween nigh"

True enough, Caren. I found a whole bunch of your comments that I didn't respond to, for some reason. If I missed one, please forgive me!

I know you're not a fan of Autumn, probably much less so of Winter, but you did justice to the season in your lines, Milt.

Thanks, Jenna. I do try to be civil about the season! LOL
