Family Missing You
Circling plane's writing trail's upon the sky
Traverse the morning star
As they pass over the dawning horizon
While loved ones feign waving
With car park tokens
Stare blankly at the exit barriers
That tell the journey and motorways home
Without said loved one
Are quiet bereft of joy
Because it's hard to say goodbye
And the tear's don't recede
Because what the heart wants
Is to be together
But lie continents apart
Reduced to holidays
To far apart
Our bond grow stronger
And we are not getting any younger
Time is our enemy and the wrinkles tell
Our memories are fading like photographs
Don't stop thinking about tomorrow
We will always have our past
But until we meet again
I keep you forevermore in my heart
Like a message in a bottle
Looking for a place to beach
Waiting for our day in the sun to come
And it will
And no boat nor plane
Will separate us ever again
Close your eyes and count to 10
See you then
