Family Condemned

Crammed in a 2 bedroom apartment, 4 girls 1 boy.
Many a day and night screams were heard,
just another beating was shared,
painful tears and hurt, eventually subsides.
An alcohol induced sleep is welcomed,

Mommy why does this happen?
God will protect us,
1 Son succumbed by self-suffocation,
oldest personally destroyed changes name,
but the pain forever there, who is to blame.

Father dies, a final relief but sad,
drug induced Number 4 burns in shame…..
for the rest, life will forever be the same,
forever in pain, until a calling, will remain.

Mommy why did this happen?
God was there….
but can’t be blamed, this was a test,
one day the truth will unfold.

Those who did the hurt will be condemned and punished,
for those who love and believe will always remain.

OH Mark this is such a heartbreaking story - so often no one really knows what goes on behind closed doors ... until it is too late:-( hugs Jan xx

Thanks for reading Jan - I know its sad but I feel that I owe something to this family to write about this sadness they experienced. The mother is still alive but an amazing woman that deserves so much better after all those years of pain and turmoil for her and her children inflicted by a really bad father. Regards, Mark
