Familiar, Yet New

Familiar, yet new
It’s all because of You
A new day
A new mercy
A new song
A new story

Humbled, content
I try but fail
To capture the extent
Of how I feel

Familiar, yet new
I hope not to forget
The potential and promise
The event represents.

Familiar, yet new
It’s happened again.
The sun's come up.
The world still spins.
