Falsetto Crowns

It was during a time
Of a mountainous climb
With nothing for certain in sight
The battles she fought
Conflicted her thought
And soon she was given to write

Like flowering vines
She played with the lines
Arranging the words on the page
She started to see
Her soul was set free
A bird being let from a cage

Her thoughts she would write
With visions in sight
Of laying her legacy down
Would she learn to be good
As they all said she could
Her name to be someday renown

Convinced she would fail
Her confidence frail
She found it too hard to believe
Each time she would try
A small piece would die
Her whispering hopes left to grieve

Now burdened with fear
She deafens her ear
Silently making a choice
The poetess drowns
In falsetto crowns
Misgiven in finding her voice
