False Narratives

Within the walls of a house so white
I watch the antics of a pompous blight
As I struggle to survive this storm so bitter
I'm mocked by a simple man on twitter
My health, my home, and any sustainable need
Are lost in rhetoric that fails to succeed
How someone can claim to "love the poor"
While sheltered behind a golden door
Is bombast I cannot ignore
A quality I must deplore
When a whopper is served as the "best chocolate cake"
And bellies are full of all that is fake
What will the Orange Gang bake
When there is nothing left to take
And in the future if I can still vote
Will I need permission by note?
