Fall's Own Rainbow
Take time to watch
Fall’s own rainbow unfold,
View the vibrant colors
Of red, green and gold.
Take a deep breath
And smell the fall air,
The sweet musky scent
Surrounds us everywhere.
Watch the animals scurry
To build their food supply,
As thousands of birds
Migrate across the sky.
When you listen real close
You’ll hear the wind blow strong,
As crickets quietly sing
The summer’s last song.
You can watch the leaves fall
And dance to the ground,
As the grass is blanketed
In red, gold and brown.
The taste of hot chocolate
Warms us inside,
And there’s nothing better
Than warm pumpkin pie.
Take time to watch
Fall’s own rainbow unfold,
The majestic colors
Are more precious than gold.
