Falling Leaves
Foliage is freely falling
As I walk the forest trails
Leaves twirling, swirling
Land on my coat and in my hair
I cannot resist kicking through
Newly fallen autumn leaves
Gathered on the ground
Lovely crisp crunchy leaves
Exquisite colors of rich red
Auburn, ochre, golden brown
Vivid tangerine and copper
Eager squirrels scamper
Searching for winter food
