Falling in Love

It happened in a flash
One minute I thought I was lost,
The next, love found me
Pulling me into its depth.
There is no other way to describe it
The knees go weak,
Head feels light,
The heart gallops a mile a minute.
Don't know if it is day or night
If it is cold or warm outside.
Nothing matters anymore,
Other than being with my love.
The dawn brings joy
Of another day together.
Starry nights bring dreams abound
With lots of love and magic.
He says he needs me
He says he loves me
The same echoes in my heart
Listen closely, you will see!
Asking for no commitments
Giving no promises
It's just an unseen thread
That binds us together.
When we are apart
We miss each other so much.
It hurts to even contemplate
A future for one without the other.
Lives so different,
Flowing against the tide.
We meet in the middle,
Dragging emotional baggage.
The burden is unbearable
We are chained to these emotions.
But when we are together
Nothing else matters, only us!
The small things we share -
A quiet moment,
A little laughter,
And a lot of love & care.
Its enough to keep us afloat
And glide through the life -
Destined for each of us
Far apart, yet together.
The promise of tomorrow
Is like the hope of eternal spring.
That we will meet one day
Is what keeps us moving forward.
