Falling Down

Side effect of intelligence, paradoxical mind embrace Negative thoughts seep in, an experience of disgrace The price for overthinking, purpose trickles to a trace So starts chain reactions, voids multiplying apace Depressive mental disorder, feeds off the human race Life exuberance wilting, in it’s wake, catatonic space Despair besets expression, revealing the blackest place Soporific slurred speech, doped eyes will soon efface Medicated to prescription, it’s that look upon my face By David Kavanagh

Intelligence is now the firm driver of our species Christopher, natural selection can never keep up with it, as far as life’s concerned we’re into unknown territory, I believe it’s where all the depression comes from, cheers David

Thank you Vijay, you totally get what I try to express in words, I think the enormity of our human intelligence sometimes comes into conflict with our latent instincts, overwhelming our minds causing severe forms of depression, I appreciate you stopping by, cheers David

Negative thoughts often lead to depression, but when they become so severe that medication is needed... that's a serious situation. Finding the trigger that's responsible BEFORE the fall is key. I hope you're not in that dark place, David.

Thank you Jenna I’m holding my own at the moment, negative thoughts are never too far away, sometimes no trigger but I am aware of the warning signs, a lot of people are in much darker places, I hope to get more involved in the soup over the coming weeks just needed a little time out, I appreciate your kind comment, cheers David
