Falling By the Petal

In your gaze, I am but sand
passing through this
land in a time bottle,
sifting fast then slow
into moments.

Waiting for the sun to
shine across each grain
and waiting for the glistening
to outshine by grace,
to glow upon my face.

I am a rose my petals
fall one by one leaving
 my heart naked before
your desiring
heart.

I am the dew in the
gentle mornings after
when you tenderly
 longed to hold me
through the endless
night.

It is my words that drew
you it is your words that
keep me in this bottle
captured and
 spell bound.

I need so much perhaps
more than any being is willing
to offer, I am a sponge of coral
peach I can and I will
take all you have to
give.

I sing the song of the
rose and my lips hold
the kiss of the rose
my heart is locking
your love away for
now.
