Falling

sometimes as I lay down to sleep
through my dreams you gently creep
in my trance I hear you calling
that’s how heavily I am falling
as a snowflake swishes and swirls from misty skies
my desire for you I cannot disguise
I found my home in your embrace
like the snowflake I danced to my resting place
under your fingers like a kitten I purr
I scream obscenities that I should whisper
when you reached out sought my trembling part
you wrote our need on my wispy heart
I denied the risk when I started to fall
that no one would catch me- no one at all
Friends say I have changed in so many ways
they hardly recognise me these days
Everything just seems so right
dark shadows that loomed now hide from your bright
