Falling

Once was enough, Twice is too much I’ll never fall again. It’s frivolous, it’s flighty To the world, and even to me So I’ll never fall again. Forget the laughs, the fun, the friends The pain is too great, the stakes are too high I’ll never fall again. Forget the way it makes me feel, Forget the fact it lights my world I can never fall again. I must find something better, Something else to feel the void I must never fall again... “I’ll never fall again” I’ve said more times than I can count But now I’ve learned that falling Is part of who I am. How can I start falling When I haven’t ever stopped? It seems that once I fall, I fall forever, I’m falling now... Though the path may wind, The moods swing up and down I’ve fallen, I’m falling... And falling, I’ll be given wings.
