Falling

At first
love floats like a snowflake,
until it melts in your hand.

Then it falls,
like an Autumn leaf,
eventually swept away in the breeze.

Sometimes love offers mercy,
like April showers to rose petals,
but no rain can save from decay.

Love wants to be free like a kite,
flying colourfully in bright blue skies,
but grey clouds ruin its flight.

One day love will descend like sunset.
Maybe we are born to fall -
but love will always ascend again like sunrise.

Dear SO, Your skillfully composed poetry is unquestionably captivating, appearing to emanate from an otherworldly sphere. A profound analogy can be drawn between love and snowflakes. "Love is the water of life," said Rumi. "Drink it in with your entire being." Losing an intimate partner doesn't suggest eternal separation; love will perpetually reappear like the sun. Well crafted dear friend.

Whew! I see you're in a creative mood of late and cranking 'em out. Hard to keep up but I'll try. that last line means a lot to me, since I firmly believe in a future resurrection. Losing someone we love doesn't mean forever. Someone else might have a different take but I'm good with mine. Nice write

This is absolutely stunning and so well written, what a deep simile it is, to compare to love to snowflakes. Yeap. I agree its fragile and one must take care of love really, and you’ve described the butterfly phase and when butterflies die too, how beautiful it is for your to say love descends like sunsets. And wants to be free like a kite. Thats deep because kites arent really free, someone needs to let them fly free and let them explore the sky .. so i find that brilliant. Your mind, how it

Works is truly impressive and leaves me in awe. And the simplicity of this poem is what i love the most, it is delicate and soft but hits strong! If that makes sense, pleasure reading you always. Fave
