Falling

Flooding my veins
Against my skin a stain
Cascading like stars
On my skin leaving scars

The darkness seeps inside
My inner voice seeks to confide
How poison corrupted my soul
Until it is black like coal

Just want to be free
To finally be me
So very tired of falling
And yet I'm sprawling

Ice crackles in my eyes
When life whispers its lies
My emotions on rotation
But without any notation

I just want to stop falling
But it's healing I'm stalling
Because around my heart is a wall
That may never truly fall
