Fallen Warriors
Let us honor the men and women,
Who laid down their lives in war,
To protect and defend our freedom,
To keep enemies from our shores.
Bravely they left their families,
As they hastened to the call:
"Your country needs your service,
Be prepared to give your all."
Some fought to protect and defend
The American way of life;
Some fought for the rights of others,
To free them from tyranny and strife.
Still others fought to bring an end
To terror and injustice,
Seeking to take down the ones
Determined to destroy us.
Regardless of the reasons why,
They proudly gave their lives,
And they deserve our heartfelt thanks
For keeping our freedoms alive.
Rest in peace, you fallen warriors,
And know your deaths were not in vain.
Your courage and your sacrifice
Ensured freedom's sweet refrain.
