Notes About The Poem

Written 12th November 2025 - Remembrance Day

Fallen Leaves in Poppy Fields

Fallen leaves gently flown down from off trees
Each represents a veteran deceased
The brave that sadly died so we may live
A stupendous blessing it truly is.

Dear Beryl, That was a very touching and powerful. The way you connected the fallen leaves to the veterans made for a beautiful and respectful tribute. I am a veteran, and I am honored. It really gives you a moment to stop and think about the sacrifice behind our everyday life. Autumn Blessings, Dear Beryl, Daniel

Very precious poem Beryl, I have my dad's cousin Joe's name 'Jo' in my middle name as his namesake, He was my dad's best friend and died on D-Day. I have a crystal eagle holding a Purple Heart in his beak in his memory. They certainly are not forgotten. Your poem means so much to so many, thank you <3
