Fallen Leaves

Fallen leaves blown by the wind.
I stood in reverence as your leaf
fell slow and so Gracefully
to rest from your work.
Yes, from the family tree you have fallen,
no more to shade your loved ones
from the heat of the day, to listen to your
voice as you spoke your heart.
A leaf of love that labored, for of your
love, you gave to all.

New buds will grow. A new leaf will
form and it too will await it's turn,
for one by one the leaves will fall.
Names will continue to burn into our
hearts.The Great Healer will soothe
the leaves that are still on the tree
with His cooling balm.
A new tree, the Tree of Life, leaves
that will never fall await the fallen
leaf that belong to His tree.
