Fallen Leaf
Winter forgets the blade of grass it froze in time.
Feeling the cold and unable to move, though it still tries with all its might.
Even as time passes it still cannot forget that cold fatal night.
It's strength gives and never again does it grow in height.
Spring leaves a rose behind to simply fade away and die.
The days go by as it wonders what it would do if it could rewind.
Yet it's so lost and forgotten it slowly starts to unravel in time.
Each petal that falls is a lost memory of you in its mind.
Summer puts on a bright smile and holds it in place.
That is, until the words are spoken and ready to face.
Confused, your tired eyes are lost in a daze.
Before you know it, the sun dies as if brightness was only a phase.
Autumn, with its cruel hands, takes another soul to call its own.
Then you see the seasons that have passed, their pain still forever unknown.
Your life fades as the last leaf falls, landing onto a floor of stone
