Fallen In December
you scrounger
forthcoming
yet again
in this cold
december air
to pilfer another life
from those of us
already impaired
of holiday spirit
to reiterate
your power
make us fall
on bended knees
once again
kissing lips
forevermore
silenced
make our tears
descend in hopeless trails
as we question our faith
while icicles shatter
like daggers
against our hearts
this air we breathe
a constant reminder
of your tally
as we choke
on disbelief
of another gone
from our reach
