Fallen Angel
FALLEN ANGEL
Scripture abounds with the age old story
Angels from the realms of glory
Wing your flight o'er all the earth
Telling of the Messiah's birth
The story they told, we can't deny
Angels we have heard on high
Sweetly singing o'er the plains
As we repeat its great refrain
Angels descending, bring from above
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love
Hark, the herald angels sing
Glory to the new born King
These songs of angels, familiar to all
Yet, these angels clearly were ne'er to fall
The one who fell on earth to trod
Had delusions of grandeur to be like God
His beauty was striking, his attitude vain
He made his desires undeniably plain
He lurks in the darkness patiently waiting
Beware this fallen angel called satan
