Fall, you arrived with renewed hope- As we have weathered seasons past Longing for ways by which to cope- Lost in that shade- which Covid cast. Deepen our hopes with clear, crisp air, Engage our eyes in brighter views- Erase drab scenes with landscape flare Painted in gold, red-orange hues. Induce past pleasures we recall; Nightly bonfires to warm the clime, Then lift our spirits with the sprawl Of orchard treats, come harvest time. As holidays bring joy between, Unveiling seasonal displays- Thanksgiving after Halloween- Undo our angst from Covid days. May your uplifting Autumn blaze Negate our feelings of malaise.
