Fall and Its Flurry
fall and Its flurry of colors
delight me in so many ways,
watching the leaves drift
to the ground is a reminder
that the season will soon
be over and to enjoy the
daily event before my eyes
in awe of the miraculous
wonder under as I walk upon
a wooded path covered by
the softness of its blanket
of leaves making my steps
cushioned against their layers,
a way for them to say goodbye
until next year
