Those fakes news and gossip columns wreck my bladder with much aversion-- how a twisted story flames into one scandal rousing this global village possessed by a culture quite dysfunctional... And the audience laps the intrigue expanding like a dramatic Netflix series! Yes... improvise, add, dissect this newest exposé from sleek tabloids patronizing lowlife curiosity of both working class and the elite---words fall, totally pathetic, absurd. Yet, a bleeding of sensationalism never never ends, until a fresh bubble pops more hysteria. It Really Gets Me Going Contest Sponsor: Kevin Shaw 5/28/2019

I believe it's the only truth that Trump has told. Nowadays people are crucified with nails of media. The powers that be understand how powerful editing reality is... Especially if the courts are feeding the mind of jurors. REAL TALK and good!!

Yep, one doesn't know what to believe anymore. There are times when I simply can't take anymore and I have to get away from it to read poetry. Well penned.

All the ado, agreed, though Netflix series be they only two, Sherlock Holmes and The Last Kingdom--both engaging but not too involved with others--since I do not watch regular TV, including that awful news anything nette, Aloha William

yes, and ruined lives in the wake of the mess. I think that the public is beginning to be sickened and turn away from it... wonderful entry for the contest!

All, familiar with newspaper distortion, will agree. Very powerfully highlighted. The public perception the current media builds is flawed too. Enjoyed reading.

Yes, standing ovation and applause. As a teen I admired journalists, in those days only a by-line meant an article was not just facts. For the rest of my life I have loathed them and the footprint they continuously, collectively make to leave behind. This is right up there in my dislikes with litter that I wrote about for the contest - hey, maybe the litter will thicken to disallow the journalist's footprints? Oh, my, my thoughts ... CayCay

When a lie is sold as truth, it is a great disservice to society..for some actually believe it. I like your theme..well said, Nette.

Such an excellent write Nette- the media seek and feeds on sensationalism and is forgotten the next day as a new bit of gossip hits the headlines, and does exactly the same all over again - fickle - this trickles through every sphere of life from politics through to the mundane. Hugs, Jen.
