Fake Tomb

In darkness I lie.
Listening to the wild of the night.
On grass do I lay.
Feeling the cold from all ways.
Feeling the earth under me.
Feeling what it’s like to be free.

The dark covers me.
My hands and feet I don’t see.
Darkness does surround me now.
In peace, at home I feel somehow.

A fox I hear come.
Surprised he walks round my fake tomb.
He knows how alive I am me.
He wonders on the risks of approaching the still me.

The moon lights up the sky.
I follow its path with my eyes.
Wondering what it’s like out there?
Could there be someone or something that could care?
About the rejects of this worlds humanity.
Lost souls who will never will be free.

An interesting poem. The stillness from lack of movement is juxtaposed with the curious fox. Very well done.
