Faithful Echoes of Love
I’m standing on the deck, coffee in hand,
Three dogs by my side as the rain comes to land.
No thunder, no lightning—just a warm, gentle fall,
To nourish God’s botany, soft blessing to all.
The morning, she rises—I watch the rain fade,
Serenity spills from the colors God made.
As the light is revealed, it quiets my mind,
A rare little peace that’s so hard to find.
They don’t speak in words, yet their hearts never stray,
Their eyes full of knowing, by my side they stay.
Their loyalty anchors what chaos might shove—
These souls at my feet, faithful echoes of love.
We rely on each other, loyalty abound
Precious gifts in my life, with love so profound.
The clouds start to drift, leaving blue in their trail,
The hush of the morning, like a soft-spoken tale.
Each paw print beside me, a story well known,
the battles we've weathered and how much we've grown.
No need for noise, or the rush of the race,
I’ve found what I need in this calm, sacred place.
No medals, no mirrors, no need to pretend—
Just three loving hearts and a moment to mend.
They’ve seen all my tears, know each crack in my soul,
Laid beside me when shadows were out of control.
No voices, no vows—just unwavering grace,
they are all that I need… in this wide, aching place.
