Faith

I freeze the panes of life and delay its gaze And steal away to dull the pain it takes I stand on hills, deny the valley’s reach By chance, I face romance I see in dreams I slow the mazy slide of rocking faith So dull and trite, and shocking pale I find no time to price the sprawling flock And sow through faith and say they won’t I write so hoarse and sing a phrase And fight four wars for seeing late I split no mounds, for us, the stance we take Pit your heart, our path and called it faith I prized no doors, no time for grace By faith I swore to ride a steady pace I spelled and filled the sordid real true tale of love, you felt we till I write for us, in fact the daisy ties our faith to love…what faith we ply In parting ways, a seismic phase our faith described as fairy tales
