Faith

What is faith if it can’t be proven A belief that I have in my heart But can’t touch it and deconstruct In a way so others can feel it too Belief is inside of my heart locked And can’t be experienced by others So, others believe it doesn’t exist They say: get rid of your stupid Desire to bring meaning to your Own miserable existence on planet I struggle to find a way to explain To strangers who keep asking If there is any meaning at all For anything that we do or don’t Give me a proof of any kind I can’t open my heart wide enough For others to reach my sacred faith That words fail to find a name for But I can offer them love which Can’t be proven in the same way As my deepest faith in God Anyone who ever loved knows That love exists and it lives in The depths of the heart of the one Who loves even others can’t see it Love feels real, powerful and alive Once it takes you by surprise And the more you resist its impact The more love tortures you to make A pact with your bleeding heart Like faith love can’t be proven But you can fall in love even if you Don’t believe in it and mock its existence Love might do to you many things Opening the doors for you to suffer Or live in bliss whichever destiny Is yours written in skies to prove The existence of God

Ruta, I appreciate how you compare God and love; two entities that cannot be measured in scientific ways, but can certainly be experienced in reality. Faith is the key to that door. Well done ~ John

Faith as you wrote, is deep within us, though it can be manifest in good deeds and in the way we live our life, with attention to what God asks from us in each and every moment. Keep the Faith, Ruta! Peace and Joy, Gershon
