Fairy Light
The wind caresses my intricate wings,
Kissing the soft layers of clear feathers.
The air slowly runs through my flamboyant hair,
Blowing away the stray strands in my face.
The clouds cover my body,
whisked to reveal a glowing white dress, trailing toward the ground.
I sit at the horizon waiting for my call,
The simple smooth rock swaying on the edge.
I look beyond the hues of fluffy white,
Seeing a sleeping city full of sweet darkness.
I hold open my hand,
Carefully getting ready for the firing.
I aim the small golden sphere closing my light blue eyes,
Finally letting go of the sun.
My heart soars, gliding alongside the brightest star of the day,
Having crowned completion to my duties at last.
My hope, my faith, my dreams, my love,
Circling the light of the world.
