Fairy Afternoon

Warm waters lap at my feet,
the color blue blending
with the calming of my rest.
They dance behind me,
flirting with the flowers,
soaking in the warm rays
of the afternoon sun.
Their songs remind me
of tiny bells
ringing so sweet and true
that I close my eyes
and dream in the magic
of their harmony.
For this, the simplest of moments,
all is noble in the world
and I can sit blameless
in my slumbering thoughts.
