Fairies Light

I take a breath

and realize it’s been weeks
of stress lived in a rush

that it’s been such a long time
since I just sat
in silence looking at the sea

and feel the weight lift
off to the brilliance of sky

I take a breath

and see the glittering stars
of light, kiss daintily

upon my brow the fairy’s wing
wipes away the frown
and gifts of nature abound

Hello Jeanne McGee, this poem wonderful. I can picture you sitting by the water releasing your stress. One day I hope to be by the water. Enjoy your evening my friend.
