Fair Weather Friends
Much is said about friends and friendship
Pages are written extolling this kinship
No doubt it is a valuable relationship
When, it surely endures all the hardship.
Friendship is sacred, it is but hallowed
Friends are more than those revered
It is a great coincidence to get a hold
Of good friend, who is worthy to behold.
There are lots and lots of friends to spot
Who always wear artificial smiles tight
But in times of distress they swiftly melt
And leave the buddy in profound hurt.
They tarnish the fair name of friendship
Sow seeds of suspicion in comradeship
So it is better to have no friends at all
Than to have, fair weather friends tall.
