Failure

She mastered her words She mastered her ways She tries to be perfect-- but all goes to waste Obedience is her virtue All laws she abide She walks with patience-- balancing humility and pride But people judge her, like they knew her since That she's always helpless-- beneath her fearless skin She then believes them Her confidence drop Now living in solace-- She wants her heartbeat stop

Writing poems motivates me in times of confusions and depression, and I share them to make other people feel that they are not alone. Thank you for making comments.

I appreciate the third stanza- yes, even in strength there is vulnerability...but, as the saying goes, some " go for the jugular..." not understanding that an " imperfect " human being who " bares their throat, or belly" understands the dominating need to " put a lesser being in their place..." Seeking solace, is a survival mechanism...I found your words very strengthening....Thank you - they are thoughtful...:-)
