Faerie Land

Faerie land will return to Earth
To restore the planet to green
They will arrive with such a display
This world has not for eons seen;
They will saddle fighting Dragons
In parade across a dawning sky
Harness’s bejewelled and agleam
As the parade proceeds on by.

They sowed a false racial memory
Left there in the iron wielder’s mind
 Of ethereal winged creatures
Small beings of a fragile kind,
Then they roved out to the stars
Left the planet of their birth
Gave mankind in all its beauty
Our glorious mother earth.

Now they are returning in anger
Tinged with maybe a little sorrow
To restore the old glories
And give the world a tomorrow.
No delicate winged creatures these,
Each a hardened warrior elf
Prepared, in their cause
To sacrifice the self.

They are coming they are coming.
They have sent messages on before;
Messages of joy and hope and peace
But they are prepared for war.
They will restore the Mother
Never striking the first blows
But in the cause they will give
Many a broken bloodied nose.

They will live in peace if possible
So long as man accepts that again
Mabs and Oberon will control
A restored benevolent faerie reign
Faerie land will return to Earth
To restore the planet to green
They will arrive with such a display
This world has not foe eons seen.

Terry when you write such poems as this its like knowing a different Terry. This is stunning. Oh yes, bring on the return of a Mid Summer's night dream and that also that of a Winter's dream, Mab and Titania and Oberon could rule and make everything green. This is a masterpiece. Thanks Terry, Best wishes Wen
